Dan Koppen, former Patriots player and owner of recently opened Linesider Brewery in East Greenwich joined GoLocal LIVE’s Chelsea Guay to discuss the opening month as well as the many upcoming events at the brewery.
The brewery and tasting room opened it's doors to the public on November 23 at noon, and currently features 10 different beers on tap.
Koppen, who played for the Patriots from 2003 until 2011 (he retired from the NFL two seasons after leaving New England), got into home brewing after retirement, and ultimately decided to open the brewery with co-owner Jeremy Ruff, hoping to capitalize on the industry boom.
Much of the discussion on GoLocal LIVE - WATCH ABOVE - was about the overall goals for the brewery and the inspiration behind it.
The East Greenwich brewery features a tasting room with a capacity of 100 people and a floor space of over 4,200 square feet, with the capability to produce up to 1,000 barrels of beer annually.
